About the project

Imagine a World Without Pain is an animated short based on the film producers’ real family story about their grandfather’s struggle with end-of-life pain in Texas. A young girl recalls her memories with her grandfather before his life was taken by cancer and shares her hope for a future where people can spend their final moments in peace, free of unbearable pain and the laws that block compassionate care.
