About the project

A loved one stands alone at the start of a new journey. Retro film footage of empty alleys, a vacant train station, and still streets intercuts to convey both the thrill of departure and the tension of solitude. Interspersed still-image inserts blend memories of the past with the promise of comfort ahead, enriching the emotional narrative. The camera gradually moves toward a doorway, where a warm light spills through and a silent embrace unfolds beneath it. In the final frame, the open door lingers—leaving viewers with the comforting reminder that there is always a place—and someone—awaiting their return.
